After more than a decade of coaching and guiding individuals toward balance and well-being, I have made the difficult choice to close my coaching practice. This decision did not come lightly. It marks the end of a significant chapter in my life, one filled with growth, connection, and meaningful transformation. I want to share my journey, the lessons I’ve learned, and why stepping away feels like the right path forward.

The Beginning of a Journey
Eleven years ago, I started coaching with a simple goal: to help people find balance in their lives. Many of my clients came seeking relief from stress, burnout, or a sense of disconnection from themselves and nature. Over time, I realized that coaching was not just about advice or techniques; it was about creating a space where people could reconnect with their inner selves and the world around them.
One of the most rewarding parts of this work was witnessing small but powerful shifts. For example, a client struggling with anxiety found peace through mindful forest walks, learning to breathe deeply and slow down. Another client, overwhelmed by work and family demands, discovered how to set boundaries and prioritize self-care. These moments reminded me why I started this work.
Challenges Along the Way
Coaching is deeply fulfilling, but it also comes with challenges. Over the years, I faced the emotional weight of holding space for others’ struggles. At times, I felt drained and questioned whether I was giving enough to my clients and myself. Balancing my own well-being with the demands of the business became increasingly difficult.
The world around us changed too. The rise of digital tools and shifting client needs meant adapting constantly. While I embraced new methods, I also missed the simplicity of face-to-face connection and the grounding power of nature. These tensions made me reflect on what I truly wanted from this chapter of my life.
Why Closing Feels Right Now
After much reflection, I realized that closing my coaching practice is not an end but a new beginning. It allows me to honor the work I have done while making space for personal growth and new opportunities. This decision comes from a place of clarity, not defeat.
I want to focus more on my own journey toward balance and explore other ways to support well-being, perhaps through writing, workshops, or simply spending more time in nature. Closing the shop means I can step back, recharge, and return to my roots—both literally and figuratively.
Lessons Learned from 11 Years of Coaching
Looking back, several lessons stand out that I want to share with anyone on a similar path:
Listening deeply matters
True coaching begins with listening without judgment. It’s about understanding the whole person, not just their problems.
Balance is a continuous practice
Just as I encouraged clients to find balance, I learned that balance shifts over time. It requires ongoing attention and adjustment.
Nature heals
Forest therapy and time outdoors proved powerful for many clients. Nature offers a quiet space to reset and reconnect.
Self-care is essential
Supporting others means caring for yourself first. Burnout is real, and boundaries protect your energy.
Change is part of growth
Ending one chapter opens the door to new possibilities. Embracing change with openness leads to renewal.
What’s Next for Me and How You Can Stay Connected
Though my coaching practice is closing, my commitment to well-being remains strong. I plan to share more reflections, insights, and practical tips through writing and community events. If you have followed my journey or benefited from my coaching, I invite you to stay connected through LinkedIn.
For those seeking support, I encourage exploring local forest therapy groups, mindfulness practices, or coaching professionals who resonate with your needs. Remember, the path to balance is personal and unique.
Closing this chapter feels bittersweet but also hopeful. I am grateful for every person who trusted me to guide them and for the lessons learned along the way. This decision honors the past and welcomes the future with open arms.
